August 1949

Proposed rate for patrolman set at $175/month plus $22 for auto
 

May 1950

James I Rich was hired by Don Trone as lake patrolman. Salary not to exceed $200.00 a month

August 1950

Motorcycle purchased for the road patrol

Summer 1951

Jim Rich as road patrol and Harry Lower, State Conservation Officer, as water patrol, using boat loaned by Behmer boathouse

Summer 1952

House numbering initiated

Summer 1954

Jim Cox replaces Jim Rich as road patrolman. Also purchaced a patrol boat - Cris Craft inboard (16') at a cost of $ 900.00

Summer 1956

Purchaced first patrol car - two door Chevrolet at a cost of $ 1500.00.  Lake access was built on the west shore.

Summer 1958

Jim Cox continues as road patrol at $75.00/ week with Larry Lowery in Boat Patrol at $65.00/week

Summer 1960

Doc Ives is Boat Patrolman

Summer 1965

Purchaced Patrol Car

Summer 1970

Jim Cox returns as patrolman ( Jim Cox had a break in service from 1966-1969.)

January 1972

First winter patrol established (Sheriff's Posse)

Summer 1974

New Patrol Car (Buick)

1980

Rich Sytsma assumes duties as Chief

1999

Officers Charles Dilts and Gene Painton begin service as Patrolmen

2001

Purchace of 2001 Chevrolet Impala Patrol Vehicle
Purchaced Scott Patrol Boat

2002

2003
